The EL foils and inverters are serviceable components and can be replaced at any time. Needle lighting remains bulb-based, and we recommend installing fresh bulbs for the best visual consistency. The 2026 upgraded EL illumination system provides up to 50% brighter and cleaner backlighting than OEM, ensuring outstanding nighttime visibility and a premium modern appearance. If desired, the dials can be purchased without the EL glow panels, but note that they are not optimized for the factory bulb lighting and uneven illumination ( a bit brighter areas above the bulbs ) may appear.
